[ICOM] Main Dial drag adjustment and lube

Hello Icom List:

                     I've an Icom 275H that has a butter smooth VFO...I've an Icom 475H that despite adjustment still has more drag on the VFO than I prefer.  Would like to adjust the 475H to be as smooth as the 275H, other than the dial drag adjustment mentioned in the manual, is there another cure?  Very hesitant to apply a drop of oil in through the drag adjustment hole.
