olivier,
thanks for your update about bonito. the installation instructions are written in clingon, martian or cajun. they are out of sequence and fall into the three a's. atrocious, awful and abysimal. the updates on their website are out of date AND  all of the garbage bonito sells is available free on the net if you search. i received it free in my 2500 package. it is worse than useless. like you, i wasted hours installing it expecting something valuable. wow was i surprised.  garbage.........     i wonder who made the corporate decision to include this junk with a 2500? they should rename bonito and call it edsel radio software (ers) for short. their eham product review is below 2.0.  73  paul w8jn

 Paul,

 I just installed a
PCR1500 (same software) and encountered the same
 problem. After a lot
of time wasted, emails and calls to Icom, bonito US
 and finally Bonito
Germany, we found the solution:
 The upgrade software
on the bonito site is not up to date, so to make this
 work, re-install
Bonito, but do not update the software. This did it for me.
 Good luck,
