[ICOM] missing screw

    I believe all metric threads are one pitch per size. They are readily
available at most hardware stores. BTW, I don't think the missing screw is
the problem.

Note in the article that the screw is a metric 2mm x 6mm length Phillips
with "VERY FINE THREADS". Therein lies the rub. In my experience very few
hardware stores carry the fine thread metric screws. In most cases, I have
had to contact ICOM and get replacement screws from the parts department.

Hi All,
 
This is apparently a fairly common problem with the 706 series and was
recently discussed again on eHam. The screw is 2mm x 6mm long, if that
helps you to locate a replacement.
