Hi,
You might check your ground system, it sounds like an RF problem. I had a that problem when I lived in Europe with an IC-745 because the ground system was bad.

Subject: [ICOM] IC-745 CW Keying Problem

I have an IC-745 that is not working in CW. When I key it, and the vox delay is for semi break in, the transmitter sends a continuous carrier, does not produce the cw characters. The rig does not have the internal Curtiss keyer, I am keying it with a manual morse key. I checked all the components in the keying circuit and they are OK. Anybody has had any similar experience and could give me a hint?

Appreciate any help,

73,
