That is not true.  After you have been un-employed for a certain period of time (18 months?) you are no longer counted.

So the 8% unemployment rate is just the recently unemployed.

It's a recession if you are unemployed, but it's a depression if I am unemployed.

I asked on this reflector what an IC-775DSP is worth and received replys ranging from $1500 to $1800.  I listed it on ePay with a $1300 minimum and I received NO bids.
