hey guys, i am the consumate hoss trader. been doing it since i got back into hobby in 2000. i used to make some $$$ but with everyone educated about ebay , qrz and qth, i just hoss trade to get new toys for me. the real deals are few and far between. i can think back to 2002 when i could purchase equipment as fast as i could by it. not like that any more. HERE IS THE REAL SCOOP. ITS JUST LIKE REAL ESTATE. when you do market comps, you look at solds, not asking price. yes people arw asking top dollar for their stuff, however it is not selling. i bought an icom r9500 from roger k7erq two weeks ago however he xould not sell it at a give away price. i had two ftdx9000d's so we made an even swap. i pirchased a ft1000d this week for $1400. two years ago you couldnt find one for less than $1950 or more. the market is soft. you just have to let the seller realize it. bottow dollar on an al1500 with ebs less than 24 months old 12 months ago was about
$2400. i did some swapping and picked up an "as new" one for $1850. the deals are out there, you have to be patient and follow a specific piece until the seller realizes the market is soft. hope this helps.. 73 paul w8jn.

ps.... please excuse he messy email cellphone tiny keys hihi
