[ICOM] Icom IC-T2H HT

Well Gary, there is the reason. I only have 2 contacts on the BP-194.

I still prefer this holder since I can replace one bad testing NICAD
easier than busting open a pack. My super duper battery
tester/cycler/charger will weed out the bad cells for me.

Thanks and 73, Dick KF4NS

Dick,
As I remember the T2 - BP-194 battery case never supported recharging
from the T2 transceiver. Possibly there is a diode internal to the
pack
to prevent you from charging alkaline batteries accidentally. The T2
also would not power from the charging jack on the radio enough to
transmit.

Its been a number of years since I have looked at a T2H. Does the
nicad
pack have 3 contacts on it and the BP-194 only 2?
Icom used the 3rd contact for recharging and if the battery case has
only two contacts verses 3 on the nicad pack there is the answer.
