I have had an IC-775DSP for 10 years, and have recently installed InRad filters.
Unless you want a pretty LCD display, the 775 is better on CW and SSB.
I particularly like the Dual Watch mode for monitoring Split DX operators tuning
habits.
The APF button will narrow CW so you hear only one signal and nothing else.
With 200W out, no amp is needed to work anything you can hear.
Maintenance is not a problem. There are many capable techs.
Only better radio is the Elecraft K3. If it had 200w output, it would be
superior to the 775.
