[ICOM] OFF TOPIC: Do Your Neighbors Complain About Your Anenna?

Hi Mac,

(Begging your indulgence, Dick!)

Many years ago, in a land far away, a group of fellow EE students and I
toured a Post Office Telecom fixed-service HF station. The antennas were
several rhombics and a huge Grainger Associates LPDA on a 30m tower. There
were several Marconi, Siemens and Telefunken transmitters (up to 100 kW) in
the equipment hall, and the associated receiving station 50 km away had
banks of Racal and Marconi receivers.

The neighbours (mostly farmers and wine-growers) knew better than to
complain. Gulag is a terrible place to spend Christmas.

Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ
