Hi Fred,

There should be no issues. You will need to recalibrate the ALC for the
7800. Set the 7800 RF Power control just at the point where the ALC levels
the 4KL output at 1 kW. Also, the 7800 Drive control should be set for 30 -
50% ALC meter reading per p. 3-13 of the 7800 user manual.

I have an Icom 4-KL that I have been using for many years with my 781. I am
getting ready topurchase an Icom 7800. Has anyone used the 4-KL with a 7800
? Are there any known issues if it can be done.
