[ICOM] IC-756PRO rec noise

My IC-756PRO has developed a problem. When a signal (any mode) is below an S5 the audio has a frying sound. If I add the preamp to get the signal above S5 then the frying sound is gone. Using the Attenuator on a signal above S5 to get it below an S5 causes the frying sound. When no signal is present the background noise has the frying sound.

This noise is not heard on the other HF rig. Maybe a trip to the repair shop?
