Heck, let me in on this.....
I have one I bought brand new. It has an ARR Jfet preamp in it. Several
years ago, it went to International Radio for a complete alignment.
No, it doesn't have the FM board, BUT not only do I have the original
box and packing, I even have the plastic bag the original manual came
in.
I also have the PS-20 matching speaker/PS. I had this and a 251A (same
condition), back when I lived in Kentucky, not far from ole' RadioMart.
ha ha
My QTH wasn't the best, but I worked 370 grids in 2 years with the
551D......
They are both hermetically sealed, I'm a non-smoker, they were always
covered. Not one mark or scratch on any them. They are in a closet in a
spare room....
Several guys have asked to buy them, but I just can't bear to part with
them......
Neither the PS or either radio has EVER has a single problem. I changed
the 251A front end over to PIN diodes, but that was just an effort to
help it's ability in weak signal work.

Hi Rick
Ok throw a price at me, the more I find out 'bout the 551D, I do not
think I
can afford one. I can get a new 6 meter rig that does it all for $350.
