    I wish to thank a very talented Joe Burch K3JLS for helping me with sorting out one of my IC-745 transceiver. I'd acquired that rig years ago as a non working unit. I had isolated it to a bad logic board. Since I could not find an original IC-745 logic board, I eventually sprung for one out of a parted out IC-751 on epay. Nobody could tell me if it would work.....yes not even Scott from MTS. I modified the 751 logic board to be exactly like the correct one for the 745 and yes it does work. The board out of the 751 also has an extra IC (IC4)which has to be removed plus a number of jumpers which are missing and some of the jacks which have to be swapped over from the original logic board.
