[ICOM] Pro3 and PW1

I have posted something like this on the PW1 reflector but thought someone
here may have an answer also.
I recently built an RX receiving loop for 160M. The loop is connected to the
Pro3 RX jack which is an RCA connector. To use the RX loop, you hold the ant
button down on the Pro3 and the "Ant 2/R" gets selected. When I turn on the
PW1 (amp/protect light on) there is no output from the amp but I can hear a
relay clicking in the amp when keying the Pro3. Also, I can see that the
Pro3 power meter just barely jumps up and down as if it's being suppressed.
When I deselect "ant 2/r" on the P3, I get full output from the amp. When
the amp is idling (amp/protect light off) and "ant 2/r" is selected, TX
power from the P3 is run thru the amp with no problem. I'm wondering what it
is that I'm missing.
