Yes, I've done the "mod" and it works FB.



I have been successfully using my IC-781 and my IC-706 MK-I on 60m.  The most
bang for the buck though is my little FT-817.  

In chatting with a local friend, he said he would like to join the fun, but was
not certain his IC-751A would do 60m.  Now, I know the 751A will transmit out of
band, there were many of them on MARS back in the day.  But I do not recall if I
ever heard any on the 5.1xx MARS freqs.

I checked W0QE, no word on the 751 series.

Does anyone know?  Will the IC-751A (or non-A) work 60m without the filter
issues?
