[ICOM] 706 Won't power up remote

Take a look at the remote cable, the connectors are spring loaded and
one might be stuck away form the contact point.
Have a buddy close by you could replace his 706 with yours and see if
the trouble travels when using his remove cable?
Are you using one cable? Years ago we tried connecting two of them
together and that did not work.
