Just to correct some mis-information posted.

It is NOT necessary to set RTS or DTS high for the CT-17 like some 3rd 
party interfaces. It is not self powered... it has to be hooked up to an 
appropriate supply...

The 9-25 pin adapters are usually all the same but there are 2 types of 
9-pin cables... straight through and null-modem (there are also varying 
numbers of active wires... but that won't be an issue here). Make sure 
you don't have a null-modem cable.

BTW, if someone needs a CT17 I have an extra one here as I have switched 
to a USB type interface.
