Jeff:The place to measure the Vcc is at the power connector at the back of the radio, not at the power supply output terminals. You could be getting excessive voltage drop in the power cables which should be as secure as possible. Check the connections of the series fuses if any in the power cord, as those can become resistive or dirty. The power connectors thmselves can also become resistive and cause a voltage drop. Of course you want to check power when working into a 50 Ohm dummy load or a known 50 Ohm antenna.

Good Day,
My Icom 765 has several issues but I would like to work on one at a time
and post to the list if I correct the problem,
When xmitting in rtty and I turn up the rf power the display starts to dim
and the Vcc drops. I have hooked up an external ps and measured to see if I
was getting the same voltage drop and im not stays at 13.8 so something in
the radio. Im open to suggestions as what to check or repace. Perhaps
voltage regulators?
