[ICOM] IC 745 preamp not working

Well - I had a 740. And it was a Loooooonnnng time ago. But I seem to remember
that there were a few problems possible there. Those push-button switches were
notorious for failing, most noticeable in the speech processor. Cleaning did
not help, only replacement. I believe there was also an issue with the relay,
and that could be cleaned.

Not much - but I hope it helps. Perhaps Gary will jump in with more experience.
My 740 was a GREAT radio, but when I got a 781 it just was not being used - so I
sold it to someone who would put it on the air.

Good luck.
