Dick,I tend to dis-agree with you on that.Yes of course the 718 is still 
avaliable.I said the 7200 is a 718 upgrade.I really don't know if the 
intention was emcomm.Although perhaps that was a major marketing move on 
Icom's part.I believe the dsp based filtering ,automatic notch..etc was a 
platform to upgrading the 718.Actually it appears the PRO3 might be the one 
to go to make way for the 7600/7700 series.After using the 7200 for about a 
month,and after selling a 718 to get a 7200.I can't tell that much 
difference except for the filtering etc..BUT,I do admit that with the 
handles...It does take on a field emcomm appearance..I am just not sure if 
the emcomm market is large enough for a whole new line to be devoted to 
it..Just my thoughts..73 john
