If that is the case, then do it the right way.  Go to a high end body shop
supply house, have them shoot the cabinet with a computer color sensing gun
and then mix the color properly.  Once you have the color, add in a mixture
of de-glossing additive to attain the right level of luster.  Use a high end
two part urethane paint, which now becomes three part and spray it over a
two part primer (please use a high quality spray gun fed by a compressor
which can maintain pressure and use a high quality water/oil separator).
This will give you a professional looking cabinet short of going to a
electrostatic paint finish; which is most likely what the factory used.  

Using spray cans of Krylon, Rustoleum, Duplicolor, whatever are going to
give you, ummmmm, an amateur paint job.  What I would expect to see when
trying to save money.  

Short of that, pay a shop to do it and save the effort and keep your 781
value intact.

Those who are trying to put the original color back in restoration are WHO 
cares. That is what this forum is about, trying to help out and maybe sell 
or buy some Icom product or ask a general question... Just hit the delete 
button til you get a subject  you like..
