Dan,

If I recall correctly ... set the 775 up to transmit on say 7275
and to receive on 7025 <Like working split SSB on 40m>.

Now while transmitting on 7275 ... listen on 7025 using another
receiver, and see if you also hear the 7275 RF ... on 7025 ...

That was the "bug" as in when operating split ... you actually
were transmitting on TWO frequencies due to the leakage/etc.
