[ICOM] 781 front panel

Has anyone removed a 781 front panel
(wondering how to deal with the keypad harness)
and any other tips...

For starters, I need to remove the harnesses
but they seem like the kind that are soldered
to the keypad board (as opposed to the 2 piece
kind) Would like some info on this.

Front panel was easy, but the one behind it
(that has to be removed to replace a POT
that was damaged by a rack screw going in too
far( the wrong screw was used)
looks like it will greet me with a fury of springs...
recessed rubber pads...etc... looking for
tips on this.

The pot in question is the lower right corner
for the 2nd rit (for VFO B)

no way to get it out except through front panel.

Any tips, email, phone numbers, advice would be
appreciated from someone who has done
this before...
