Hi Dave,
In general, on all Icom transceivers ACC1 Pin 4 (baseband input) bypasses
the VOX circuit. You will need to send a T/R CI-V command from the computer
(typically 1C 00 00 = RX, 1C 00 01 = TX. Check the CI-V manual.)
Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

Subject: [ICOM] VOX T/R switching from ACC input
Can anyone save me some diggin on this one? I was hoping to set up my
IC-736 on PSK to use VOX to go into transmit mode. Using the computer, if I
hit the transmit button, I hear my tones (on another receiver) but the rig
will not go into transmit using VOX. Am I to assume the pin 4 input on the
ACC socket does not go through the VOX circuitry??
Thanks for any tips!
...Dave
