[ICOM] VOX T/R switching from ACC input

Can anyone save me some diggin on this one?  I was hoping to set up my IC-736 on PSK to use VOX to go into transmit mode. Using the computer, if I hit the transmit button, I hear my tones (on another receiver) but the rig will not go into transmit using VOX. Am I to assume the pin 4 input on the ACC socket does not go through the VOX circuitry??
