[ICOM] A major bummer!! - Also IC706MKIIG wierdness

Major digression:  I wonder what they'll do for lifetime subscribers.
IIRC, there were some new one's in the last WR I've received.

My 706 is on loan, an a boat in the Caribbean, and I'm told that it's
cycling into transmit every 20 seconds.  The thought was the mike
cable, but it apparenlty happens with the mike laying undisturbed.

Now, on a boat at sea, undisturbed is relative, I know.  But my thought
was that there's a problem (corrosion) in the mike connector.  Any
other suggestions?  Can the AH4 connection do something like this?

I don't know if unplugging the mike takes care of it, but suspect so.
