Hi Larry:

I have Ham Radio Deluxe here but don't use it.
Thinking about selling the radio so that's what got me thinking about
replacing the display.
Thanks OM

This is a common problem with that radio. Please go to Adams Icom page at:
http://www.ab4oj.com/icom/main.html ,and scroll down the page, and you will
see links to other web sites regarding the 756 display problem. The
replacement display module is expensive 185 Euros plus shipping to the US.
skills in surface mount technology are also required. Another suggestion you
may want to think about, is to use a laptop computer as a display, and
remotely control the radio via the CI-V port using Ham Radio Deluxe software
which is free. Actually this way you get a much larger display. Even buying
a used laptop and CI-V interface may cost less in the long run. AS I live in
Raleigh, NC if you are up this way, I would be happy to demonstrate this to
you. Good luck, Larry K4LXV
