[ICOM] 761 tuner

Almost 20 years and not a problem with the tuner.  I tried making the
adjustments, Gary, and that's what got me into trouble,  I couldn't handle
any SWR at all (at least on the rig's meter) and was trying to get it down
when the tuner stopped working.

It does not work on any band when I try to make adjustments in "Preset" but
when I switch it into "Auto" it tunes -- not as low as I know it can go but
acceptable.

I also have an MFJ SWR/power meter after the amp and it shows a slightly
different SWR from the rig.  I'm not concerned, of course, because I have
the AT-500 and it works fine.  But because it was working, I'd like to get
it working again.

Al,

Try doing the preset adjustments in the tuner. I think there is a switch you
throw to place it into that mode to do the adjustments. I have seen that
tuner get out of whack and doing the presets again straightened it out.
