[ICOM] Problems with 765

I have two problems with my ICOM 765:
1. Using CW I find my transmit frequency is about 0.5 Khz lower than my receive
frequency. Of course this is with RIT and delta-TX off. I can set delta-TX to
+0.5 and then my transmit signal matches my receive frequency. This is
confirmed by on the air tests with other stations. I have the pitch control set
at 12 o'clock. In SSB mode, my transmit frequency matches my receive frequency
without any delta-TX set.
2. The Meter function does not work properly in Power Output or SWR mode. The
Power output always reads zero even though external meters confirm normal power
out. When using a dummy load, the Meter SWR indication is 1:1 (almost no meter
movement). When transmitting into an antenna with an SWR measured by external
meters of about 1.2:1, the IC-765 SWR Meter shows increasing values depending
on RF Power adjustment. With about 10 watts output, IC-765 Meter says SWR is
1.5:1. The false SWR indication increases to full scale on the meter as RF
Power is increased to 100 watts.
Before I open up the unit and dig thru the service manual, does anyone have
experience with these problems or can offer some insight into possible causes?
