Prices of all ICOM radios are going up because the value of the 
dollar just keeps going down.  A manufacturer like ICOM can only 
absorb this decline for so long.

I bought a new IC-7700 a few weeks ago specifically to avoid this 
increase (which has been rumored for months).

PS:  Don't blame ICOM, blame those in charge of US monetary policy 
for making the value of the dollar less and less.
