[ICOM] Icom 7200 at Dayton Big Disappointment???

I could care less about remote control or USB connectivity. Please remember that
Icom designs radios not only for Euros but for other markets as well. Inside the
U.S. where the Dayton Hamvention is located FM is widely used and having the
capability helps reduce the quantity of radio gear one might carry to support a
field operation. Under emcomm conditions (which Icom targeted with their 7200
display this past weekend) having one or two versitile multimode/multiband
radios is preferred over having to haul a variety of rigs. Don't agree? Then
take a look at the millions of dollars being spent here to develop such radios
for military and public safety. The new Harris RF-1033M and Thales Liberty are
but a couple such examples.
Just my 2¢
