I fear the "ruggedized" look is in.  And while I don't care for it, 
if it is in fact as rugged as the appearance would lead one to 
believe, it could serve a useful niche in the product line.

For my money, however, the Kenwood TS-2000 is the ugliest radio I've 
seen.  On the other hand, my new IC-7700 may just be the best 
looking.  Lordie, what an outstanding radio!
