Subject: [ICOM] HM-95 problem

This problem happens whether it's plugged in to an IC-2710, an IC-2720,
or an IC-706MKIIG...where other mics (HM-103, Heil "Traveler") are fine
on those radios, so it's not the radios...

My HM-95 sends just "squeal and buzz" for transmit audio...UNLESS I
physically grab the metal "clip", which seems to somehow create an
artificial ground, and then the audio is fine!

Is this common for this mic? I'd rather attempt to solder in a 50-cent
part than replace another mic if this is something that any of you have
seen previously... I took the mic apart and there's no obvious burned
epoxy or traces...
