Hi Ken,

All my mains-powered equipment is connected to surge-protected outlets. It's
cheap insurance.

There is no reason not to use a surge protector.

Cheers for now, 73,

Subject: [ICOM] Surge Protector for 746PRO???

Hi to All-

I have a surge protector outlet strip lying unused.

Does it make any sense to run my IC-746-PRO from it to help avoid spikes
from the Power Company?

I always disconnect the antenna from the rig during the lightning season...

I have a feeling this might involve the RF ground etc.

Any help would be appeciated!
