[ICOM] HM-56a Very Low Audio

The battery in the HM-56 just retains the DTMF memory.
I would suspect: 8 volts bias from rig, Mic element, coupling cap, maybe 
cloth in mic covering the element is contaminated.
Condenser mic's do go bad, though not real often.
Could also be something in the mic amp circuit, what model is it?
