Bill,

Regarding the SWR and LDG-7000 tuner. At first pass I would say this is
NOT your issue. There are so many antenna, antenna mounting, feedline
variables that affect SWR there is no way anyone can assume or accuse a
1.5:1 SWR is caused or associated with your radio. Actually, many folks
would even say a 1.5:1 is "acceptable" for solid state transceivers.
Also I do not believe the LDG-7000 has any dependency upon the CI-V
port, but could be wrong. Has he described is antenna configuration and
mounting, grounding, etc.? Has he explained how he uses the LDG-7000 to
ensure a "good match"? If not, have him do so.

Radio output of 150 watts. That's 50% over the spec. Assuming you didn't
modify the radio I would ask how he determined the 150 watt output. What
mode? What metering? Etc.

If he's claiming the radio was modified ask him what the mods were/are?
Get specifics, not fluff.

Also be aware there is a very good chance he may have attempted a mod,
screwed something up and now wants an axe to grind and you to fit the
bill.

Over the years I've held management positions in large and small
technology companies and I've learned when a customer starts off with
accusatory tirades there is more going on than the alleged complaint.

Good luck,
