Scott,
Glad you got the display working. Also your fortunate that the pin mod has
been accomplished also. Your description sounds like maybe you have a real
late model and the feed thru pins may have been a factory installation.
The SSB audio drive is controlled by R-72. Also check your pushbuttons and
make sure they are routing the mic to the SSB unit. Be sure you are using
the mic connector on the SSB unit. The original upper mic connector on the
actual radio did not switch down to the SSB unit. It only worked on FM.
However the lower Mic connector on the SSB unit worked for both SSB and FM.
