[ICOM] Wanted: 2 x 2SC2097 for 720A

[kd2e at comcast.net]

Bert....Through the years I've had about 5 IC-701's 
In a box of 701 odds and ends is a bag that is labeled 701 transistors. 

They are MRF-247 Motorola jobs (new pair).

Can anyone on the list confirm or deny that the MRF-247 is a correct substitute for 2SC2097's ???
