[ICOM] IC781 display problem

No sir - today's mission wasn't one for the four-legged hikers. There was a lot
of rough-trail hiking. Great Danes are not good hikers - they are better
walkers, and the sun was very hot today, in the mid-80ºs F (30º C).

However, I did take my new hiking companion along, the IC-T81. I use the
SRH-999 antenna, 4 bands and about 21" (53cm) I kept the HM-75 from the two
IC-W32s I used to hike with. The T81 has a neat function. Not only can you use
the UP-DN buttons for memory channel selection, you can also do the VOLUME
UP-DN. I bought a nice little cammo pouch for the radio at Ft. Bliss. Now it
hangs on my pack with the antenna sticking up above my head, and the mic over
the shoulder to control the radio. It was fun. Could not hit the 1273.000
repeater though - it was too far south.

Well - got gear to put away. Always take care of your gear before you take care
of yourself. Very hard habit to break.

Y-all enjoy the rest of the weekend. Dog show tomorrow for us.
