[ICOM] IC781 display problem

Doug,
Check the power supply connection at the back of the CRT, it should
measure about 12 Volts. If that checks ok then try using an external
NTSC monitor plugged into the rear panel to see if video is still ok
or is it in the video output circuit/section of the unit.
Icom no longer sells the CRT or parts..they have a replacement LCD
for a ripoff price of $900 last time I checked.
There may be another source for the CRT elsewhere so an internet
search may be in order..
Other than those items it could be a verticle output transistor is
getting ready to go out..
