[ICOM] Thinking of selling.

Heh heh heh - that is the question I was asking. What are they worth? I was
hoping someone here had recently bought one or sold one and could give a clue.
I know I have a lot invested in that package - and I never intended to sell
them. ICOM quit making those radios a number of years ago. The clamor in the
amateur community was so loud they brought them back. They work very well -
except in harsh RF environments with gain antennas. But as HTs, they are
superb. Using the BNC-24 antenna and the 6-cell AA battery pack in the desert I
could hike several hours on one battery pack. I pulled the Ni-MH AA-batteries
out of the packs and put them in the T81 packs.
Had it not been for the experimental 1273.000 repeater we built, I would not be
selling these radios. But two T81s have come home with me. There are several
things I like better on the W32s, but they do not work 1200. End of story.
Like you, I don't have $$$$ to throw away, so something has to pay for the T81s.
They cover 2m and 70cm, true dual-band dual-receive. The RX range is somewhat
extended, but I don't know how much, never cared to use it. They do work
satellite and I have successfully made a FM contact on AO-51 with one of them.

My other choice it to break it up into two separate radios with manuals and
accessories in original boxes, separate the extra batteries, and list it all on
the E-place.
