[ICOM] CI-V Cable.

Radio Shack sells part # 20-247 for programming their GRE made scanners
(Pro-92/93/95/96/97, plus several base/mobile equivalents) for about $30.
It's not true CI-V (only one radio at a time) but it works fine with my 756
classic. 1/8" stereo on one end and USB on the other with the electronics
in a translucent plastic box mid-cable. Even has a couple of LEDs that
flash when it sends data (if you're in to blinky lights). Comes with the
(necessary) stereo to mono adapter, even.

I bought one of those from E-Bay over a year ago. I couldn't get it to work
either. Not sure if there IS a source for a working USB-CIV cable. I ended
up using a USB-Serial adapter cable on the 478. Clunky and heavy in the
laptop bag, but it works.

If you find a working USB-CIV cable, put the word out. I am sure we are not
the only ones.
