[ICOM] Icom 765 questions

1. It depends on the temperature the unit has been exposed to over its life
time. I replaced them in my unit while I had it open doing the PBT mod and
adding the Inrad roofing filter just because.
2. IF shift does not effect the filters selected. There is no switching
circuit to switch them in or out from the PBT circuit.

I have 2 questions about the Icom 765 that I haven't found an answer to yet:

1 Does it have the plastic trimmer caps problems that the earlier Icom rigs
suffered from?  I think I heard no, but am not sure.

2. QST mentions that when you use the IF shift, it takes the narrow CW
filters out of line. Does this problem still occur if you mod the 765 for
PBT instead of IF shift?  Is there another mod to keep this from happening?
