[ICOM] ICOM CT-17 converted to USB?

I just took out the Serial DB25 port in one of my AEA/TIMEWAVE PK-232's and
replaced it with a TIMEWAVE U-232 "USB based Serial Port replacement".

Took a little work to tear out the circuit board mounted DB25, but I got it
done. The PK232 works great now, without using a serial port.

I was wondering if anyone has tried to remove/replace the serial port DB25
on the ICOM CT-17 Level Converter with this USB adaptor?

Looks like it might work.
