Carl: Since you have read the archives, you already know that the Icom requires +13.8 VDC at the power connector at the back of the rig, and not at the output of a power supply then through the a long DC cable and fuses to the back of the rig. The voltage drop in the cable under full output could cost you several watts output. It is possible to crank up the output of the Icom a few watts, but doing so would void any warranty, and not have such a nice clean output for which the Pro is famous. My Pro III drives my old Henry 2K to nearly legal limit on all bands. I also have insured that my amplifier input circuits are tuned for lowest VSWR. Good Luck, Larry K4LXV.
