I have been a ham for a long time work a little DX. Would someone tell me
why hams think they need two receivers? I have never had a rig with one and
for the life of me don't know how I would use one. Just a simple answer
please. 73 OZ

Except you give up dual receive, possibly a voice
keyer, and the band scope doesn't work as well. I am
not paying $2500 for a rig that doesn't do some form
of dual receive.

The FT2000 is supposed to be comparable, except that
it is plagued with problems. Go read some of the
eham.net reviews on it.

For reference, the

And you still didn't get 6m on it!
