[ICOM] First Icom HF radio was IC-701

I apologize for the OT radio history, but I believe the first PLL receiver was 
actually the National AN/WRR-2 (FRR-59) from the late 1950s.  It had 64 tubes 
and a Wadley Loop synthesized HFO.  You can see photos and examine the block

The first PLL radio was the Barlow Wadley XCR30 developed and built in
South Africa.

Yes, the first Icom HF radio was the IC-701.  Had the same type of
opto-interrupter VFO control found on the Icom VHF radios of the
same vintage.  I also believe it was the first HF PLL radio of its
day.
