Same power circuits used on 440 - does 440 exhibit the "same" problem? IF
BOTH fail - Cracked joint to the SO239? Cracked lamination at the driver of
the final?

Subject: [ICOM] IC 706 MK II G
Recently my MK II G has exhibited an intermittent (is there any other kind)
problem where I lose my power output on two meters and two meters only.
Here's what I can offer:
Like I said, the problem in intermittent and normally happens after about 30
minutes of operation. At first I was thinking heat issue but I did add an
additional fan so don't think its the problem. Also it only effects 2M. I
put the meter on "PO" so I can watch and track the power out. All will be
fine and then I will lose the power out. Red transmit lite is on so rig is
in transmit, just no power out. I also switched microphones and no change.
Same with antenna/feedline. I used a spare mag mount antenna and still same
issue. I also opened the rig and checked all the circuit board screws to
ensure good contact.
I would have thought finals, but the problem will exhibit itself for a few
minutes and then all will be well for a while.
Scratchin my head, hoping someone has ideas??????
