[ICOM] IC 706 MK II G

Have you checked the SO-239 on the back. You didn't say if you operate 440. 
Is it OK? I recently had my hf connector on the back fail. The dielectric 
was real loose and something was shorting it out. AM broadcast was swamping 
my receiver.

Does it come back to normal receive when you unkey?
It  MIGHT  be possible that you lose PLL lock.

My guess, though, is that your PA device might have
become temperature sensitive.
