Thanks for the news Adam ,  I almost waited too long on purchasing a new IC-R8500 receiver because several 
months ago Icom quit marketing them in the US for a while but they brought it back after a few months. 
Something tells me to get one soon because it probably wont be long before its discontinued for good. 73 ,

Agreed - I also buy a new radio model only once it has got past the ARRL and
RSGB lab test suites, and is at Rev. 2. This is usually within 6 months to 1
year after initial release. 

 I have it on pretty good authority that no replacement for the IC-756Pro3
is planned at the present time.. The IC-7700 is not intended as a
replacement for the Pro3.
